Is this you?

If this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.

  • Afternoon energy crashes
  • Told to watch your cholesterol
  • Tired and heavy after meals
  • Weight that’s hard to shift
  • Dreading your next check-up
  • Your parents went down this road

Creeping numbers aren’t a given. There’s usually a reason they’re climbing.

Why it keeps happening

Each number has a cause, and they’re often connected.

Each number tends to get looked at on its own, so what links them can get missed.

  1. 01

    Metabolism

Your metabolism is how your body handles sugar and fat. When it struggles, blood sugar climbs and weight gets harder to shift.

  2. 02

    Liver

Your liver helps keep cholesterol and blood sugar in check. Put it under strain and those numbers are often where it shows first.

  3. 03

    Stress

Always on the go? Long-term stress keeps your body braced for action, which can hold blood pressure and blood sugar higher than they need to be.

  4. 04

    Gut

Your gut has a bigger say in your blood sugar and cholesterol than most realize. When it’s out of balance, those numbers can drift up.

  5. 05

    Minerals

Magnesium helps your blood vessels relax and your body use sugar. If you’re low on it, both numbers are harder to keep steady.

What you’ve tried

You’ve probably tried some of these.

Tap a card to see why it didn’t stick.

You’ve done what was asked at every check-up. The numbers just never got looked at together.

The real problem

Rising numbers are a signal that something underneath has changed.

Each number usually gets its own answer: one for blood pressure, one for cholesterol, one for blood sugar. That care matters, but the three often rise for a shared reason, and it’s worth finding early.

Long-term stress pushes blood pressure and blood sugar up. A liver under strain affects cholesterol. When your body stops handling sugar well, all three tend to climb together. Find what they share, and you can work on all three at once.

One common pattern
  1. What you feelBlood pressure and blood sugar edging up each year
  2. What’s driving itYour body struggling to handle sugar, plus constant stress
  3. Where it startsYears of pressure, short sleep and meals on the run

So rather than chase each number, we look for what links them.

How we help

Find what’s pushing your numbers up. Then work on it early.

  1. 01

    Test properly.

Blood sugar and insulin, your full cholesterol picture, blood pressure, liver, kidneys, inflammation and thyroid, read together.

  2. 02

    Find the pattern.

You see what may be driving each number, and how the three link back to each other.

  3. 03

    Build your plan.

Four months of custom supplements, a curriculum and 1:1 coaching, alongside the care your physician already gives you.

Who we are

Meet Dr. Anthony Alphonso and the Back to Wellness team.

We’re a functional medicine practice for people who’ve been told they’re fine but still don’t feel it. Anthony has been in practice since 2007.

It started with his son, whose eczema and gut trouble weren’t getting better with the usual treatment. Anthony went looking further than he’d been trained to, finished his functional medicine training in 2009, and watched his son’s health turn around. He’s been doing the same for patients ever since.

Karen’s story
When she started
“My most immediate concerns were a feeling of sluggishness and fatigue and high blood pressure.”

Her own doctor was already tracking her blood work, and stayed involved while she did the program.

Still not sure?

The questions everyone asks.

But can you bring my numbers down?

We can’t promise a number. We find what’s pushing them up and build a plan around it, alongside your physician. Starting early gives you the most room to work.

But my doctor wants me to start medication.

Then talk it through with them. We’ll never advise against something your physician recommends, and we never ask anyone to stop. We work alongside them, so you both see the full picture.

But I don’t have time for this.

The first step is 15 minutes by phone or video. Coaching then fits around your schedule, all from home.

But will insurance cover it?

No. Our patients invest in the program directly. We’ll go through everything on your free call, so you can think it over with no surprises.

But what if it’s something serious?

Call 911 for chest pain, sudden weakness or numbness, trouble speaking, a sudden severe headache, or signs of very high or low blood sugar like confusion, extreme thirst or shaking. Then see your physician.

Ready when you are.
